Post Adjutant Darrell Pilat is a Vietnam Veteran that served with the 1st Infantry Division and 196th Light Infantry Brigade of the Americal Division in 1969 – 1970. After separation from the military, he worked in the Airline Industry for over 25 years with Trans World Airlines, Western Airlines, and Delta Air Lines. Darrell has worked for the Renton Police Department for 16 years as the Electronic Home Detention Coordinator. He is a Life Member of VFW Post 1263 and a member of Cootie Pup Tent 11, where he serves as Hungry Cootie. Darrell has been the VFW Department of Washington POW/MIA Chairman for many years and hosts the State National POW/MIA Recognition Ceremony in Olympia, each September. He has served as the VFW Department of Washington Voice of Democracy Chairman. Darrell currently serves as the District 11 Adjutant and District 11 POW/MIA Chairman.
