Am I eligible?

 

Checking VFW eligibility is easy. Use our eligibility listing which lists campaign periods and authorized service medals to determine eligibility for membership. Download an application blank for VFW Post #1263

 

Ladies Auxiliary VFW eligibility includes: Wives, widows, mothers, foster and stepmothers (who performed the duties of a parent), grandmothers, daughters, granddaughters, foster and stepdaughters (who attained that status prior to age 16) of persons who were or are eligible for the VFW. Women eligible for the VFW are also eligible for the Ladies Auxiliary VFW. In addition, an aplicant must be a United States citizen and at least 16 years of age.

 

Men’s Auxiliary VFW eligibility includes: Husbands, widowers, fathers, grandfathers, sons, grandsons, brothers and half-brothers (who attain the status prior to age 16) of persons who were or are eligible for membership in the VFW. Men eligible for membership in the VFW are NOT eligible for membership in the Men’s Auxiliary. (This eligibility list applies to all posts within the VFW Department of Washington State.) Download an application blank for our Men’s Auxiliary.

 

Membership in the Junior Girls Unit is open to girls from 5 through 16 years of age who are daughters, foster daughter, stepdaughters, granddaughters, sisters, half sisters, foster sisters and stepsisters of members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, or of men and women eligible for membership in the VFW. A foster daughter or foster sister shall be one who has been reared from an early age as a daughter or sister of a man or woman who is eligible for membership in the VFW. A member of the Junior Girls Unit may be a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the same time, provided she is sixteen years of age and meets all other requirements of Auxiliary eligibility.
